Kindergarten Christmas Knowledge

Christmas break is finally upon us! Well, practically. Tomorrow, Newhalen School is hosting a Christmas movie in the gym for all of the students and then releasing everyone at 12:30pm. Today was my kindergarteners' "Polar Express" class party. All students got their own train tickets, listened to the book, sequenced the story, decorated cookies, and watched the movie. The best part of the day was when I paused the movie at the hot cocoa scene and Tyler came into my classroom dancing and singing to pass out hot cocoa for students! The party was the last hurdle I had to jump before I was home free… and I've made it! Every teacher knows the feeling of finishing the last bit of work before vacation.

The last thing I have to leave you with is a video that our class presented at the school-wide Christmas play yesterday evening. Tyler edited the video and did a wonderful job! He accidentally wrote "Kindergarden" instead of "Kindergarten," but I suppose that's all right given my class bulletin board. My students are the funniest. Enjoy, and Merry Christmas!

  1. You have such a sweet class! We have a snow day on our last day of school. I have mixed feelings about this.

    1. Bummer… I hope everything is back to normal for you now! Thanks for reading along, Mary!

  3. For some folks, the kindergarten report card will be the first report card they get as folks, here is article about it Numerous may be shocked. Some kindergarten reports cards can be a few pages in length.
